FLOORS!!!

Progress!  The floors have been stained and the cabinets have arrived.  Unfortunately, the cabinets are in the living room - our only remaining public space - so now there is no place in the house to sit down and eat.  A minor inconvenience - they will be installed shortly.  The floors are beautiful.  It's been almost a week and we still are not walking on them with our shoes.  There is still a wall of sheetrock pieces to keep Sasha out of the room.  Tamara decided to buy Sasha some rubber booties so she won't slip and slide on the wood floors and so she won't scar the new wood floors.  The kitchen floor has temporarily replaced Sasha as our baby, so we are doing our best to protect it.  The infatuation won't last long, though.  In the meantime, Sasha looks absolutely hilarious in her booties.  While they are effective, we probably won't subject her to wearing them for more than cruel laughs.
