We have progress!  Unfortunately, it may be a little too much since we now have a new back door that has no lock and we are headed out of town in two days!  Our back wall was torn out and replaced by a custom window/door unit (sans hardware, which is coming from Canada).  The famous "trailer park window" on the side was torn out and replaced by the frame for three square fixed casement windows.  Unfortunately, the guy who is fabricating these windows is suddenly AWOL and we now have three holes punched in the side of the house covered by plywood.  We won't go into the story of how it was built to the wrong specifications and had to be torn out and rebuilt.

More progress:  the electrician came to rough in the lights, sockets, switches, etc.  No gray cloud for that silver lining yet, which is good news.  Next is finishing the electrical work and doing the sheetrock installation.  Then comes sanding and staining the floors.  And then more waiting.  Oh, and during that time we will paint the outside of the house.

Gray cloud found...see next page.
